Hike Mount Gemi

Mount Gemi rises above Amedzofe with the famous iron cross at its crown, and the climb to reach it is as rewarding as the view. Your guide sets a steady pace through farmland, cocoa groves and open grassland, sharing the stories and plant lore of the highlands along the way.

The final stretch opens onto a broad ridge where the Volta valley unfolds in every direction. On clear mornings you can trace the lake far to the west while mist pools in the valleys below your feet.

We time departures so you reach the summit for first light, then descend at a relaxed pace with a stop for photographs and a warm breakfast back at the lodge.
